CHANGING SOMETHIGN TO ALWAYS RUN WITH HONGFIRE APPLOCALE SKIN
Where is the correlation? If Orcs were just big humans but with darker skin then yeah I'd get it. I don't get the comparison to POC whatsoever. Big, brutal, strong (think secret of Kells). Orcs are based off of vikings, like that is blatantly obvious. I also don't quite get how these races are offensive. Which have no interesting background lore to work off of and are just a blank slate. Removing this because its "offensive" ruins what makes them great. What makes these races so interesting is their lore. But making them just humans but slightly different ruins them. There is so many interesting things you can do with them. So they dedicate themselves to liberating their people from Gruumush's hold on them and to save their race so they may be no longer feared by the world. That gives so many interesting dynamics for playing one! For example, what if an Orc comes to the realization that all the bloodshed they and their clan has done is wrong, and needs to stop.

Orcs are constantly under the sway of Gruumush, constantly being pushed to just go violent and fight. The Drow's connection to Lolth is so key to their identity. For example, most Drow worship Lolth but then there might be those that don't and have abandoned her and actively seek her destruction. Drow are one of my favorite races to use as the main villains in a campaign because of their whole dynamic with Lolth and their use of Demons. Personally, I think changing the lore for Orcs and Drow ruins what made playing / writing for those races fun. I know I'll probably get down voted but oh well.
